Checkmates: Searching to Save the Last Dance with Bobby Fischer

UCBNY popped out this lil’ beauty a few days ago, and I think it’s building steam. UCB has always been one of the most progressive, pro-web video comedy clubs (institutions?) on the scene. While members of IO, the Groundlings and Second City all end up posting their stuff on Funny or Die, UCB’s made steps to give the growing community that surrounds the club a better home. Not everything is as polished as Checkmates, but I think this short serves as evience that they’re heading in the right direction.
At least we get a taste of the urban checkers/chess movie the studios wont ever give us.
